Surf Spot Guide
Pedra Branca Ericeira
The first wave we find right in front of the Ericeira Camping Park is Pedra Branca located at the south end of Empa Beach, and nicknamed because of a submerged rock stone, lighter in tone than the others, located in the area where the waves are usually caught. It is a very fast reef-bottom left that receives swells from the SO quadrant to the W/NO quadrant. Due to the shallow reef bank that is exposed during low tide, it is usually surfed from mid tide to high tide. Regular and dangerous, this wave is characterized by a zone of fast starts, followed by a tube to the inside.
