Surf Spot Guide
Eisbach E2 Dianabadschwelle Munich

The E2/Dianabadschwelle has existed for a long time and has always been the crowning glory of the so-called “Eisbach Tour” (swimming through the creek from start to finish). Numerous horror stories were attached to it, some of which were real threats. Among other things, there were actually remnants of steel pillars, which were correspondingly dangerous.

The wave was used mainly by rodeo kayakers until about 2012 when surfers virtually drove them off the Eisbach wave. Likewise, it was for a long time the “secret spot” for the surfers of the Eisbach wave.

Only when a report in the Bild newspaper made the wave better known, it became a known quantity and practice spot for more experienced river surfers.
