Surf Spot Guide
Rams Midigama

One of Midigama’s most difficult surf spots breaking over a shallow reef, is not recommended for inexperienced surfers. Only skilled surfers should attempt this hollow, quick right-hander. Rams is widely known for its barreling right-handers and when a strong swell and offshore winds combine, it may produce a world-class wave. On the other hand, it has a reputation for breaking boards when there is a significant swell, and reef contact when falling is common. Beware of the steep takeoff and shallow, razor-sharp reef.
Rams is conveniently situated in the center of Midigama. The wave breaks to the left as well as to the right. The right-hander is short and often barrels after take-off. The left is fast and steep. While on bigger days Rams is a wave with a lot of barrel potential, on a lower swell, this break still performs well. As the name implies, be ready for a good “Ramming” if your take-off fails.
