Surf Spot Guide
Papôa Peniche
Smaller swells make Papôa a nice reef break with laid-back lefts and rights. With a clear channel that makes paddling out simple, it is also appropriate for less experienced surfers. Papôa typically has fewer surfers than other Peniche waves. This location becomes riskier as the waves grow larger. It is also known as Peniche’s big wave area, where tow-in surfing is done.
