Taghazout
Taghazout is a small fishing village located on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. It has become a popular destination for surfers from all over the world, due to its consistent waves, beautiful beaches, and welcoming locals. Taghazout is home to some of the world’s most famous surf spots, such as Anchor Point and Killer Point: Long, powerful point break right-handers, which are perfect for experienced surfers. Further south, about 15 minutes in the direction of Agadir, Banana Point, and Banana village are situated. A long sandy coastline stretch with various beach and reef break surf spots, plus another point break – Banana Point.
Point Break
At a point break, the shoreline juts out into the water to form a headland. A wave that is lengthy, well-formed, and unlikely to close out or break in front of itself is created when a wave strikes a headland or pier and starts to peel down the extended shoreline. Point breaks typically only have one takeoff point and only travel in one direction, so you might have to wait in line to catch a wave. At these specific surf spots, quality prevails over quantity.
