Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is renowned for its surfing breaks, which are appropriate for surfers of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced level surfers. Because of the seasonal variations, one coast is calm when the other is rough, making the nation a year-round vacation destination. Somewhere, there will always be waves. On the east coast, aim for April to October. In the south, the ideal months are November through May. The most well-known regions are Arugam Bay in the east, Weligama in the south, and Unawatuna and Hikkaduwa in the southwest.
Point Break
At a point break, the shoreline juts out into the water to form a headland. A wave that is lengthy, well-formed, and unlikely to close out or break in front of itself is created when a wave strikes a headland or pier and starts to peel down the extended shoreline. Point breaks typically only have one takeoff point and only travel in one direction, so you might have to wait in line to catch a wave. At these specific surf spots, quality prevails over quantity.
