Morocco is a paradise for surfers of all levels of experience. From world-famous advanced/expert point break surf spots like Anchor Point and Killer Point near Taghazout to a variety of beach and reef breaks around Banana Point suitable for intermediate and beginner surfers, the west of Morocco offers surf for all types of levels and styles.
Beginner Level
The term “Beginner Surfer” refers to a surfer who has only recently begun taking surf lessons and starting to become familiar with the sport’s fundamentals, usually surfing a long soft top surfboard. After a few hours, a Beginner Surfer is able to maintain balance, paddling and catch some whitewater waves. In the end, an Advanced Beginner can catch a wave, get up on the board, and ride the breaking wave straight toward the beach.
