It takes just 95 minutes to get from both main cities to the location, which is nearly halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego. Although it has only recently become urbanized, the region has long been one of California’s top surfing locations. Laguna beach spans 7 miles and is home to a collection of 27 beaches and coves.
