Indonesia
Indonesia is a country located in Southeast Asia that consists of over 17,000 islands, famous for its beautiful beaches and rich surfing culture. One of the must-visit places for surfers is Bali, an island known for its world-class surfing spots. Apart from Bali, there are many other great surf spots in Indonesia, such as Mentawai Islands (West Sumatra), G-Land (East Java), and Nias (North Sumatra). The waves in Indonesia are suitable for all levels of surfers, and the best time to surf is during the dry season, from April to September.
Mid Tide
Mid tide is the time that is exactly between the tides, i.e. about 3 hours after high tide and before low tide or the other way around. Surfing at mid tide – as a rule of thumb – means the in between of of fast and hollow waves that occur during low tide and softer waves during High Tide.
