Indonesia
Indonesia is a country located in Southeast Asia that consists of over 17,000 islands, famous for its beautiful beaches and rich surfing culture. One of the must-visit places for surfers is Bali, an island known for its world-class surfing spots. Apart from Bali, there are many other great surf spots in Indonesia, such as Mentawai Islands (West Sumatra), G-Land (East Java), and Nias (North Sumatra). The waves in Indonesia are suitable for all levels of surfers, and the best time to surf is during the dry season, from April to September.
Beginner Level
The term “Beginner Surfer” refers to a surfer who has only recently begun taking surf lessons and starting to become familiar with the sport’s fundamentals, usually surfing a long soft top surfboard. After a few hours, a Beginner Surfer is able to maintain balance, paddling and catch some whitewater waves. In the end, an Advanced Beginner can catch a wave, get up on the board, and ride the breaking wave straight toward the beach.
