Aveiro Mid Tide Surf Spots
Aveiro is a beautiful coastal city as well as a region in Portugal known for its picturesque canals, colorful moliceiro boats, and stunning beaches. While Aveiro may not be as famous for surfing as some other Portuguese coastal destinations like Peniche or Ericeira, or the Algarve it still offers some opportunities for surfing wide beach breaks.
Mid tide is the time that is exactly between the tides, i.e. about 3 hours after high tide and before low tide or the other way around. Surfing at mid tide – as a rule of thumb – means the in between of of fast and hollow waves that occur during low tide and softer waves during High Tide.
