Indoor Surfen Jochen Schweizer Arena
The Jochen Schweizer citywave is the first indoor surf wave in Germany which creates a real wave using only the force of the water and without any special superstructures in the water. The wave is created by flowing water meeting standing water. It has a real water depth and it is possible to surf with fins like in the sea. Unlike many other artificially created standing waves, the citywave delivers lifelike conditions and allows stationary wave riding in perfection.
Wave height for all types of levels (beginners, intermediate, advanced and pro surfers) at ideal water temperatures between 24°C to 26°C. The Jochen Schweizer citywave is a continuously adjustable surf wave that is created exclusively with real water force and without special superstructures in the water. This almost natural wave can be optimally adjusted by regulating the water volume and the wave steepness: For beginners from 8 years and 35 kg minimum weight with learning rod, for advanced surfers with lower water height and steepness to enable quick success, for professional surfing can be turned up to the stop to provide the perfect conditions for turns (change of direction), tricks and take-offs (start by paddling the wave).
To surf on the Jochen Schweizer citywave near Munich, no previous knowledge is required. Under the guidance of our surf instructors, beginners are divided into “regular” (right foot behind) or “goofy” (left foot behind) by first small dry runs to start. The entry onto the wave is thus done from both sides of the pool. Using the unique holding bar on the beginner wave, children and adults quickly get a feel for the surfboard and the wave. In addition, the first small turns can be practiced.
