Animals Ahangama
Animals is one of the lesser frequented surf spots in Ahangama, for good reason: the spot is pretty far out, can be quite unpredictable and in bigger swells get quite heavy. Only skilled surfers should attempt to ride this wave that can be considered similar to the Rock: Random A-Frame peaks are rolling in depending the swell direction and sometimes waves from the Ahangama main beach are crossing over to shape very unpredictable wedges that can be challenging, yet rewarding to surf. The left hander direction Insight is often working more consistently and longer than the more slabby right hander, but be prepared for some shoulder burn after riding left: no channel and often the next waves of the set are pushing a lot direction the shallow reef towards the shore.
